Pump Boys and the Dinettes Pictures might load slow. I designed and built the set for DLO's Pump Boys and the Dinettes. This was a middle dinner show and a smaller 1 set stage. I went to the ridiculous extreme with the little details and when it was finished it was well worth the effort. I was very proud of that set. I actually cut the checkered floor tiles individually, painted and nailed them to the set floor one by one. I built a lighted pie rack, telephone booth (built to specs of real phone booth I had measured) with working bi sliding doors, diner order slip holder, on and on and on. I actually built louvered swinging dinner doors. Individually cut the louvers and a lot of angled dado saw cuts for the swinging doors framing. My wife Sara and Erin Hall even rolled a tire with black paint across the gas station floor just like a real oily gas station floor would have.
