Karaoke Is A Great Ice Breaker! Karaoke at weddings can be
tricky but accomplishable if you follow some guide lines to keep it from
turning into karaoke night at the pub (unless you want this). Keep in mind
any show can have a mixture of dancing and Karaoke so those who don't sing
don't get bummed out.
Karaoke can get things started and is entertaining in
itself even without alcohol. This phenomena to this day still regularly
surprises me. Corporate office parties, class reunions, birthdays and
anniversaries can all benefit from using karaoke. It's a part of someone

The power of a memory video. Let me share a
couple true stories with you. 1. My family got into the memory video
thing several years ago. Family still photos put on video and music played
in the background. I remember everyone talking and buzzing about "had you
seen it", "had you seen it yet"! In a similar way it reminds me of the
KARAOKE phenomena. My initial thought was what is the big deal? It turns
out it is one of those things you have to experience to understand. My mom
and sisters kept looking at me waiting for something. I must confess when I
viewed the memory video it was emotionally powerful and made me tear up. I
never would have guessed the impact it had on me. Just simply pictures of
my family. Its like reading a story but it is about you!
2. I was DJing a wedding where the family had prepared a memory video.
The wedding couple showed up 2 hours after the guests arrival and everyone
was anxious and ready to eat. The plan was to play the memory video during
the buffet line. The place that was filled with noise of people talking and
kids running. As the video began the place was silenced. Literally halted
to a stop in the buffet line as people watched the video. The dad walked
over stood in front of the life size screen watching his daughter grow up. I
will always remember the look on his face filled with so much emotion.
Pictures were displayed of both the bride and groom as children. We saw them
grow up, Christmas, grade school, their first car and prom. When they met,
dates and with each others family. I was moved and extremely impressed with
the experience. The moment that every one in that room experienced can not
ever be fully described or appreciated unless you were there. What a
wonderful gift to share with your family and friends who care enough to be
there.
